To kick off the start of the new school year this September we have just released a new “Born to Engineer” video.

The video looks at Lewis Wilde, an Apprentice Engineer at Island RIBs, an Isle of Wight marine engineering company. Thanks to a chance meeting with the owner and with the support of the Lloyd’s Register Foundation and the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights, he’s now in a full-time boatbuilding apprenticeship.

You can learn more about the Shipwrights’ Apprenticeship Scheme via our “Engineering Scholarships and Apprenticeships” resource page.
