New “Born to Engineer” Video – Lewis Wilde Apprentice Engineer

To kick off the start of the new school year this September we have just released a new “Born to Engineer” video.

The video looks at Lewis Wilde, an Apprentice Engineer at Island RIBs, an Isle of Wight marine engineering company. Thanks to a chance meeting with the owner and with the support of the Lloyd’s Register Foundation and the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights, he’s now in a full-time boatbuilding apprenticeship.

You can learn more about the Shipwrights’ Apprenticeship Scheme via our “Engineering Scholarships and Apprenticeships” resource page.

The “Born to Engineer” series of videos have been produced by creative video producers duckrabbit, under the sponsorship of the ERA Foundation, the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and the Lloyd’s Register Foundation.
