New bag could protect planes from bomb threats

FlyBag covers the cargo hold of a passenger plane, so if a bomb in a suitcase detonates, the explosion is contained. In experiments, the bag successfully contained a standard-sized bomb blast within the cargo hold, whilst a plane without the bag fitted had a hole blown in its fuselage. It is hoped to be able to increase the safety of airline flights and reduce the threat of terrorism.
