Alzheimer’s disease may be infectious, study claims

There are claims from British scientists that Alzheimer’s could be transmitted during some medical procedures. The team behind the research say there is a theoretical risk the disease could attach to surgical instruments and be transferred from one person to another. But they stress it does not mean that Alzheimer’s is contagious and say more work needs to be done to establish the risk.
