New London “super-sewer” takes a step forward

A company has been chosen to build a new 15-mile sewer in London, to help meet the capital’s sewage needs. The present system was built in Victorian times and is over capacity, meaning that some raw sewage has to be released into the River Thames. Once built, it is hoped the new sewer will help keep the city clean well into the 22nd century.
