The UK Space Agency is set to launch the ‘Space for Everyone’ tour, an event that aims to showcase the role of space in improving life on Earth and highlight the diverse career paths open to young people looking to enter this fast-growing industry.

The tour starts in Southampton, visiting West Bargate from Thursday, June 1, to Monday, June 5.

The event will feature a 72ft replica rocket for young people to learn more about how the UK is launching into space and also include hands-on experiences to engage and fire up the imagination. Trained hosts and industry experts will be on hand to share more about the role of satellites and the varied careers available in the UK space sector.

The Journey Across the UK

The ‘Space for Everyone’ tour will visit ten locations across the UK, including Southampton, Swansea, Leicester, Bradford, Belfast, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Hull, Great Yarmouth, and Hastings.

The ‘Space for Everyone‘ tour will be open from Thursday to Monday at each location. The tour is free and open to all, with no booking required. The opening hours are as follows:

  • Thursday: 0900 – 1700
  • Friday: 0900 – 1700
  • Saturday: 0900 – 1700
  • Sunday: 1000 – 1600
  • Monday: 0900 – 1500

The tour will visit the following locations:

  • 1 – 5 June: Southampton, West Bargate
  • 22 – 26 June: Swansea, Dylan Thomas Square
  • June 29 – July 3: Leicester, National Space Centre
