Large Hadron Collider restarted after being offline for nearly two years

Protons have begun circling the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) for the first time since 2013, as scientists try to achieve a speed of 13 trillion electronvolts in the 27km tunnel. Particle collisions aren’t due to take place until next month but will do so at double the speed as the first run in the LHC.
