Large Hadron Collider restarts after improvements

The Large Hadron Collider, the world biggest particle smasher, has been restarted after two years of upgrades. Located underground at CERN in Switzerland, the Collider has already discovered the Higgs Boson in 2013, dubbed the “God Particle”. The machine is now 70% more powerful than before and can run both day and night. It is hoped the new power could mean more discoveries for physicists over the coming years, such as on the nature of dark matter.
