engineering careers Ever wanted to experience soaring over a LA beach in a flying suit?

Gravity Industries, the company behind the ambitious Gravity Jet Suit, has unveiled a stunning 360° footage of a sunset beach flight in LA.

The company is well known for showing off its technology in stunning locations.

The UK based company has previously demonstrated the suits tech at Lagoona Park in Reading – hitting speeds of 50km/h over the water and in the Zip World theme park in North Wales.

The jet suit is codenamed ‘the Daedalus suit’ and constructed from two engines that sit on the wearer’s hips, and four arm-mounted gas turbine engines.
Each of the suits engines can provide 22kg of thrust (enough to lift a human being).

While the suit’s technology is obviously interesting, the goal of Gravity Industry is as much about inspiring a generation of new Engineers to engage with STEM as it is to get the companies founder Richard Browning off the ground.

As Gravity Industries puts it, their goal “is to build an inspirational technology company by re-imagining the future of human flight and pioneering aeronautical innovation”.
