Gravity Industries has teamed up with The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) to develop a 1050 brake horsepower Jet Suit just for paramedics

Gravity Industries founder, and Born to Engineer star, Richard Browning demonstrated the suit as he flew from the valley bottom to a simulated casualty at The Band, near Bowfell.

Time is critical when reaching remote injuries, a journey that on foot would take 25 minutes, took Richard only 90 seconds.

The Lake District is an ideal area for this new technology as the variety of geography makes it difficult to access by foot or car but it is a relatively small area, meaning that the Jet Suit won’t run out of fuel.

GNAAS, used call-out data to identify the Lake District as a good candidate location for the Jet Suit Paramedic.

The Jet Suit packs an impressive 85mph top speed and a flight time of around 10 minutes.
