Acer unveils ‘building block’ computer

Acer has developed a new desktop PC whose parts are designed to be fitted together like building blocks, with a series of connecting pins at the top and bottom of each part allowing them to be stacked together. The idea is that people will be able to customise a computer without having to unscrew anything. Modular technology is being developed for many different platforms, such as smartphones, by various different companies, but this is the first desktop version of the tech.
