3D printers can now print gummy bears

A confectionery company based in Birmingham has created the first 3D food printer to reach consumer retail. It takes about 5 minutes to print a single sweet, and is planned to be available by early 2016. The technology is supposed to be ‘fast, educational and fun’, with the intention being to teach children and adults about the technology of 3D printing and ingredients in food, whilst being enjoyable and tasty.
