The WMG Academy for Young Engineers, based in Coventry, has announced plans to open a second academy in Solihull by September 2016. The WMG Academy for Young Engineers, which works with The University of Warwick and major employers in the local region, aims to support the development of students aged between 14 to 18, who have the functional skills, knowledge and personal qualities to make an impact in the world of work, as apprentices and/or in further and higher education. The WMG learning environment is designed to generate an excitement for the opportunities afforded in engineering and in the creation of the high value products of tomorrow.
