UK car emissions beat EU targets

A recent report by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders has noted that new car emissions are at an all-time low. According to the report, in the UK carbon tailpipe emissions were at an average of 124.6g/km – less than the EU target of 130g/km. This is a result of more efficient engines and an increase in sales of plug-in vehicles.
