Researchers develop algae as possible alternative energy source

Researchers at Concordia University in Quebec have developed a power cell that is able to harness the electrical energy produced from the photosynthesis and respiration of blue-green algae. The research team is hoping that the power cells will soon be used in applications such as cell phones and computers and believe that the cells can one day “power the world”.
