Output of hydrogen fuel cells could double as result of electric compressor

The UK-based technology company Aeristech has developed a new electric compressor design which has the potential to double the output of hydrogen fuel cells.

The new system would allow air to be delivered at a far higher pressure as a result of both high speed motor and control technology. Company CEO Bryn Richards says this is the only system capable of delivering this much pressure whilst maintaining high standards of efficiency. Specific technical details have not yet been released.
