A simple change to Oxford Street will completely re-engineer how we interact with it. London Mayor Sadiq Khan has pledged to pedestrianised the iconic shopping street by December 2018 – promising Londoners ‘room to breathe in the heart of the city’.
Around half a mile from Oxford Circus to Orchard Street is set to become a “traffic-free pedestrian boulevard”.

A brand new 800m-long work of public art might also be commissioned for the length of the pedestrianised street.
We look forward to this simple change to London infrastucture providing a new pedestrian friendly space for people to enjoy the city.
