Fold-up bridge inspired by origami could help disaster relief

Engineers in Japan have developed the new bridge, which unfolds based on the principles of origami. It is hoped the new bridge could help deliver aid to remote areas after natural disasters. When folded up, the MB4.0 (Mobile Bridge Version 4.0) can fit into a car trailer, and takes about one hour to extend fully.
