Emerging Engineer prize awarded to Woking engineer

Akshaya Chapagain, an engineer from Woking, has received the ICE’s London Emerging Engineer Award 2016, and will go on to compete for the 2016 Emerging Engineer Global Award. Akshaya Chapagain, a University of Portsmouth graduate who works for Balfour Beatty as a Crossrail Site Engineer, won the award after delivering a paper and presentation on an innovative bridge design. The prize was organised by the student and graduate members of the ICE, and was judged by a panel of senior figures in the engineering industry.
