Durham University graduate Paul Chambers has been awarded the Emerging Engineers Award by the Institution of Civil Engineers. Paul, 22, received the award and a cash prize of £1,500 for his report examining temporary propping at London Paddington Station. He based his report on his final year dissertation, as well as collaborating with Skanska, who now employ him as a graduate civil engineer. He said, “I am incredibly proud to have won the Emerging Engineers Award, a result which was never expected at the outset of the research project.”
