Manufacturers have welcomed measures announced in the Government’s Autumn Statement, with investment in infrastructure, energy research and plans to amend the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) all gaining industry support.
Terry Scuoler, chief executive of EEF, the manufacturers’ trade body, has said, “The chancellor’s enthusiasm for an industrial strategy for Britain is hugely welcome, as is his promise to continue to support Catapult centres, the successful incubators of new business ideas and product development.”
