University of Lincoln researchers set out plans for sustainable air travel

Academics from the University of Lincoln’s School of Engineering are part of a pan-European research syndicate that has been working on the EU funded Multibody Advanced Airship for Transport (MAAT) project. The project aims to design airships that are able to run on solar power by using photovoltaic cells on the aircraft’s fuselage.
