Professor Richard Folkestone appointed President of IMechE

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers has elected its 130^th President, Professor Richard Folkestone. Richard’s plans for the year ahead center around encouraging a new generation of engineers, especially increasing the amount of girls studying the subject. Richard has stated that more needs to be done to encourage young people to choose engineering.
