First female president of Institution of Engineering and Technology vows to attract more women into engineering

Naomi Climer, who will become President of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on 1 October, says she hopes to help dispel the myth that engineering is a male profession. She wants to show the “excitement and fun” of engineering and give young people the chance to solve the world’s biggest challenges. Climer was formerly head of Sony’s media cloud services.
