Breakthrough in the development of hydrogen fuel from plant waste

A new study published by oil giant Shell has revealed that converting 100 per cent of the sugar stored in left-over harvest by-products to hydrogen gas is achievable – without having to increase carbon emissions. The findings could lead to the replacement of petrol stations to “bioreactors” by the roadside.
