Young engineers’ new technologies gain support of Royal Commission

Ten projects, with a significant possibility of improving health or the environment, have gained funding from the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851. These new doctoral projects include a replacement for the eye which could stop vision deteriorating with age, cheaper solar cells, longer lasting batteries and a data transfer technique for affordable quantum computers.
