Demand for engineering skills crucial to the UK economy

New engineering jobs have the potential to generate an additional £27 billion for the UK economy by 2022. A new report suggests that in order to fulfil this potential, the number of apprentices and graduates entering engineering will need to double. It also shows that engineering accounts for a quarter of the UK’s turnover, a figure that has only grown during the recession.
