engineering careers Rosetta: Join us as we countdown to the end of Rosetta’s historic mission to Comet 67P

The Rosetta probe is set to end its mission to Comet 67P with a controlled descent to the surface of its comet at around 11:20 GMT.

A live-stream of the event provided by the European Space Agency is below.

While it has been widely reported that Rosetta will smash into 67P – the craft should touch down on the surface at around walking pace, and then power down. It is hoped Rosetta will be able to send back images to Earth before it touches down. The hope is we will be able to see images from around 15m or 20m above the surface.
