Researchers develops new finger-print detection method after burglary

Materials scientist, Dr Kang Liang, has developed a new way of collecting finger-prints – after his house was broken into by thieves. The new technique involves adding a drop of liquid containing metal organic framework (MOF) crystals to the surface in question. This then allows investigators using a UV light to see invisible fingerprints ‘glow’ in roughly thirty seconds.
