New £10k grant celebrates female-founded or led engineering organisations

To celebrate this years International Women in Engineering Day on 23rd June, London-based manufacturing specialist Get It Made have unveiled a £10k grant for female-founded or led engineering organisations.

Today only 12% of the engineering industry, and 25% of the manufacturing industry are women.

In a bid to combat this gender imbalance within the industry, manufacturing specialists, Get It Made, are encouraging female-led organisations within engineering to apply for this grant that can take their work to the next level.

While there has been a promising 7.6% increase in female representation over the past decade, the grant is designed to help to continue this trend.

As well as the grant, Get It Made will also be offering its expertise to help support small female-led engineering businesses through their manufacturing and supply chain challenges.

Applications for this grant close at midnight on July 31st 2022, and can be submitted at get-it-made.co.uk/grants
