Two members of the Institute of Physics have been awarded Queen’s Birthday Honours. Editor-in-chief of Nature Philip Campbell has been made a Knight Bachelor for his work in science, including work as the former editor of physics world and as a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society. Professor Averil Macdonald has been awarded an OBE for her commitment to women in science, which includes being on the IOP’s Council from 2009 to 2013.
