Treasury allocates £37m of funding for Airbus site

Chancellor George Osborne today announced that £37m will be invested in the Wing Integration Centre at the Airbus site in Filton, Bristol – with the investment safeguarding hundreds of engineering and manufacturing jobs. Commenting on the news, Osborne said, “Not only will the new research centre play home to some of the most exciting innovations in aerospace, for years to come it will also protect hundreds of highly skilled jobs.”
