Bentley opens doors to applicants in recruitment drive

Bentley is recruiting 300 professional and technical positions in 2015 as part of a £40m investment into the company’s Crewe headquarters.

As part of the process a recruitment day for prospective applicants will be held on Saturday February 21 at CW1 House at Bentley’s headquarters.

Discover what other manufactures are doing to ensure the skills gap and learn to develop and create successful apprenticeships, under graduate and graduate schemes. Explore how to create relationships with local schools and the local community and gain an understanding of what other sectors in the industry are doing to fill their own skills gap.

The investment also included the creation of a new research and development centre, measuring over 45,000m², comprising a dedicated styling studio, research and development offices, and a technical workshop.

The facilities will house 1,300 Bentley engineers and represents the latest step in preparing Bentley’s infrastructure to bring the world’s first ultra-luxury SUV, the Bentayga, to roads in 2016.

Professionals are being recruited to work on the Bentayga and other future products in areas including engineering, sales and marketing, purchasing, project management, and specialist areas including metrology, laboratory, paint and wood.

In anticipation of future growth, Bentley is interested in the following:

Engineers across all disciplines including Electrical, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Body and Trim, Whole Vehicle and Powertrain
Sales and Marketing professionals including Digital, Luxury and Branded Goods, Marketing Communications and CRM
Purchasing professionals
Specialist departments such as Laboratory, Metrology, Paint, Wood, and Project Management
This announcement comes after Bentley Motors was named as one of Britain’s top employers by the Top Employers Institute for the fourth consecutive year. Bentley was particularly praised for its focus on the career and succession planning of its workforce, with a clear focus on personal development.
