The Institution of Engineering and Technology has set the date for the ‘The Young Women Engineer of the Year Awards 2018’.

On 6th December the IET is inviting the public to join them at Savoy Place to celeberate celebrate and be inspired by the achievements of some of the young women who are set to shape the future of Engineering, and meet with a variety of like-minded peoplewho are working tirelessly to promote diversity and inclusion across the engineering and technology profession

The event is free to attend, but tickets must be booked in advance.

The night will be hosted by TV personality and presenter Rachel Riley.

Rachel Riley succeeded Carol Vorderman as the numbers expert on Channel 4’s Countdown and co-presenting the comedy spin-off 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown with Jimmy Carr.

Alongside Rachel Riley, journalist, author and broadcaster Angela Saini, and internationally acclaimed science author, public speaker and personality Dr Emily Grossman will be speaking before the 2018 winners are announced.

19:00 – YWE ceremony
20:00 – Drinks reception, networking and refreshments.
