Tech legend Bill Gates next project might be creating a smart city in Arizona
The brand-new community will be located in the far West Valley, Arizona and be kickstarted by one of Bill Gates investment firms Belmont Partners.
Comparable in square miles and projected population to Tempe, Arizona, Belmont will transform a raw, blank slate into a purpose-built edge city built around a flexible infrastructure model Belmont Properties
The city will be built on a 25,000-acre plot of land 45 minutes outside of Phoenix and be connected to Las Vega and Phoneix by the proposed I-11 freeway.
The city will be split up into 3,800 acres of office and retail space, and 470 acres for education. There are plans for 80,000 ‘residential units’.
There is currently no timeline for the creation of the city.
